Dragon City - Gem Guide

Gems are the second currency of Dragon City, the first being Gold. In this guide, you will find what gems are, as well as various ways on collecting gems which in turn, unlike Gold, you can use to buy rare items in the shop. Below are all the ways which you can do to collect Gems from normal game play, no hacking required. If you follow these steps, you are bound to get loads of Gems!


Level Up

Leveling up will earn you 1 gem per level up. This is by far the simplest method, but once you reach the higher levels, it will become harder for you to level up and thus earn gems using this method.

Quest Goals

Some particular quest goals will award you gems as a victory prize. Normally, you receive gems for breeding Hybrid dragons (more for breeding rare ones).

Leagues

On completing a league, you receive 3 gems, regardless of difficulty. By battling dragons, you will also receive gems as a victory prize in game.

Book of Dragons Gem Rewards

When you have completed the various dragon sections in the book, you will receive gems as a prize. It can range anywhere from 2 gems for the first Elemental section to 5 for the legendary.

Completing Offers

This is a foolproof and generally most rewarding gem collecting scheme out there legitimately. By completing offers, you can receive sometimes 18 gems for 1 offer. If you buy something, you can receive up to 312 gems! I have personally completed all the free ones and have in excess of 200 gems!
